Shift the 4 wheel drive lever into 4 wheel drive.
No since the J-10 has a wider wheel trac and longer wheel base, but anything is possible with much modification!
Not from the AMC factory... the stock Jeep V8 option was the 304.
yes. check out jeep air
Put the lever into the 4wd position.
All that you do if put the shifter in the four wheel drive position.
For my 1999 jeep wrangler next to the gearbox to the left it should saw 2 wheel 4 wheel high neutral and four wheel low. What i do is put my jeep in neutral and shift from there
You pull the transfer case level towards you....
There is an extra shift lever that controls the transfer case. Put it in 2H (if you want to drive with regular rear-wheel drive) or neutral (if you don't want to engage any wheels at all). On most CJ7's, you should also unlock the hubs. Outside the vehicle, in the center of each front wheel, there will be a tab to rotate. That disengages the wheels from the front drive axles, so you won't be rotating all those parts in the front drive system as you drive in 2WD. Of course, CJ7's being very old now, many or most have been heavily customized, so you really need to know the specific vehicle.
== == == == == == Its always 2 wheel drive unless you put it in 4 wheels drive. The optional Quadratrac 4 wheel system is basically an AWD system and the only way to use it in 2 wheel drive would be to remove the front drive shaft which is not recommended.
A Jeep with 4 wheel drive cannot be towed with all 4 wheels down. You must raise the front two wheels and put the rear wheels on a dolly, or have the Jeep placed on a roll back.
back jeep up,,put in reverse.put in drive move slowly 10 feet.Push 4 wheel drive selector forward to 2 high position
Yes. Just put the transmission and transfer case in neutral.
