I have a 1983 CJ7 Jeep Laredo which originally had a 258 6cyl AMC motor which you could source from an old Rambler Hornet and a couple of other Ramblers that had that motor. I installed a AMC 360 V8 motor from a 1977 Rambler Matador which bolted straight on to the Torqueflite 904 auto gearbox which I installed a 2 stage kit and highstall torque converter. Being in Australia I used Holden engine mounts and Holden WB radiator and fan shroud. She's one quick Jeep now.
difference between Laredo and renegade besides all that extra chrome, the cj7 Laredo was considered the top of the line. plus the insurance was at the high end.( i know, because i had a few special ordered and the insurance was even higher than my vette).the main thing was all the chrome work. front and rear bumperettes, rims, radiator grill cover with blackpinstriping, all interior gauges, seats were accented with 2 toned silver trimwork, glovebox had Laredo letter applique in silver, shifter knobs had chrome trim, had the extra 2 inch lift, hood tie down and latches were chrome, chrome door handles on the hardtop with deep smoke tinted glass, seats were highback leather as was the center console insert, usually tilt and power steering, premium sound system,20 gal tank instead of the 16 gallon tank, and finally a ball hitch.hope this helps out
The composer of the song O, Ilaw is Pou Corales. Pou is married to Kea (daughter of Joseph Odonzo and Ma. Cristina Odonzo) Both made the song O, Ilaw in 1934. The first one to sing it is Stephanie Manalaysay, the singer made her way through champion. Pou and Kea has 1 son and 2 daughters, named as Khylee (oldest of all), CJ7 (2nd to Khylee) and Jayda (youngest of them).
first you need to lock the front hubs (this is done manually) you must rotate the hubs located on the two front wheels. On stock hubs, it'll say 4x... 2 (on the rim of the hub) when not engaged and 4x...4 when engaged. to lock then pull the short stick shift down that hi 4 then down again to low 4 range to disengage push up then unlock hubs rule of thumb always reverse back 20ft to ensure full release ...... agree... however, make sure you are rolling about 2-3 mph forward... this will help engage. I just read it in my 1986 cj7 manual today.
