Look under hood for accessory belt diagram. Depress tensioner arm with 14mm wrench to loosen and remove belt. Depress tensioner arm to install new belt. Follow diagram for routing. Make sure belt is aligned and ribs are in any pulley groves.

Elevate the front of the vehicle and support it on jack stands or blocks. Remove the right front (passenger side) wheel. Remove the inner fender liner. It's made of a fiberboard type material and is held in place with plastic pins that are designed to be removed. Once the fender liner is removed, you should have clear access to the serpentine belt. Simply back off the tensioner and remove and replace the serpentine belt, making certain that you know how to route the new one. Refer to a routing diagram if you have any questions.

If you've got a 4.0 litre engine than you've got a Automatic belt tensioner on the engine. Sits to the right of the alternator. If your belt is loose, than you need to check that the belt is on properly on all the pulleys, or if you have the right belt. If the belt was made for a motor with A/C and yours doesn't have that, then the belt will be to long. Check with your local auto part supply store. Hope this helps......
