The 2002 ford Ranger uses type R134 Freon. The Freon is added in the low pressure port of the ac system.
1991 Ford Ranger uses R-12 refrigerant which is no longer available to the do-it-yourselfer. You will have to take your pickup to an a/c service place to charge your a/c.
