You can't. Freon is an EPA regulated substance and must be purchased by licensed HVAC Tech or contractor. Most newer system require Purion and older systems require R22. Purion is a mixture of two different Freons that become one under pressure, once that system gets a leak, the mixture separates and water is pulled into the system which will lead to compressor burn out. A Purion system will need to be evacuated and purged with Nitrogen before it can be filled again. R22 is no longer made and existing supplies are depleting so the price has doubled and will continue to climb.
Yes you can if you have the tool, knowledge, and of course the freon. Youtube has instructional videos to help you.
you need to take it to some one who works on a/c units for you need to put freon in it .

Freon is a brand name for various air conditioner refrigerants. Make sure you have the right refrigerant for the vehicle. Refrigerant is added to the low pressure port of the system, which is located 6 inches from the accumulator.
This is something that needs to be done by a professional, because the a/c system needs to have the freon removed prior to taking the lines loose. They can remove the freon and store it while the hose is being replaced and then put the same freon back in.
All fuses look good, compressor won't kick on, attempted to put freon in gauge on bottle went all the way over and would not take freon, any guesses? All fuses look good, compressor won't kick on, attempted to put freon in gauge on bottle went all the way over and would not take freon, any guesses?
