It has a dead battery, gas will not help this condition. LOL. They is a manual release in the passenger door that will open the fuel door, but you still need a battery.
dead battery
With another battery connected to the dead one or what a battery charger.
is the battery dead? did you put gas in the gas tank? did you put your key in the ignition switch just behind the steering wheel on the right hand side and try to turn it?
cause the battery is dead, you ran out of gas you did not put in park before you tried to start it , somebody put water in your gas tank. A better description would get you better answers.
Your alternator is dead!
Jump the car from another car battery or hook a charger to the battery.
There may be many reasons why a 97 Plymouth Breeze won't start after running it out of gas. Even after you've put gas back in, if the spark plugs are bad or the battery is dead, the car will not start.
If it does not have a key release you can't. Replace the battery pr jump it.
Put the key in the door and turn.
Two thoughts: you may have put the battery in wrong (if it's not all the way in, they chirp) or you may have put in a dead battery.
I assume you mean how long to charge the battery. You should never let the alternator charge a dead battery if possible. The alternator is designed to keep the battery charged but not to charge a dead battery. You put a strain on the alternator and it can cause a diode to burn out. Drive home and then put a battery charger on the battery to fully charge it.
No, this will place a very heavy load on the alternator of the car and may result in burning out the diodes of the car charging the battery. You could easily ruin the alternator. Purchase a battery charger and charge the dead battery with that. Alternators are not made to charge dead batteries.
