MP4 is a final delivery lousy video format which is not suitable for editing in non-destructive video editing software like Final Cut Pro. Though Final Cut Pro 7 and Final Cut Pro X update to import MP4 video, it only support MP4 encoded with H.264. If the MP4 is encoded with other video codec, Final Cut Pro X/7 will still fail to import MP4. See link below:
The extension .fcp is used for Final Cut project files.
Here are a few websites that offer Final Cut Pro training either free or at relatively low prices: http://files.lynda.com/files/finalcutstudio/index.html http://www.finalcutproclasses.com/online-training/1-on-1-final-cut-pro-online-training.html http://www.geniusdv.com/ http://www.softwaretrainingtutorials.com/final-cut-pro-choice.php
No, Final Cut Pro is software exclusively for Macs.
No only Imovie. If you want your macbook to come installed with final cut pro then you have to order it online and pay for final cut pro separately. Then when your computer is shipped it will be shipped with a copy of final cut pro.
Open the project with the updated version of FCP.
The Final Cut Studio support page helps users with any problems regarding Final Cut Pro 7/X, Soundtrack Pro, Compressor 3/4, Final Cut Pro 7, Motion 4/5, Color, and DVD Studio Pro.
You'd better use a good software to convert mpg files. Just download and free trial Final Cut Express Converter which can convert your mpg files to any other video formats like quicktime mov, mp4, dv etc. Easy to use. Yahoo or Google search and download: Final Cut Express Converter.
Some plug-ins for Final Cut Pro will work with Final Cut Express (or there are separate versions available) such as the Boris FX range (See links below).
Yes it will!.!
Final Cut Pro is only available as part of the Final Cut Studio package (also includes: Motion, Soundtrack Pro, Color and Compressor) which costs $999 (£816) from Apple but can be slightly cheaper from suppliers such as Amazon. There is also upgrade pricing for owners of previous versions.
I do video editing in both Final Cut Pro and Express on a Mac. Multiclip is not in Express. It is in Pro of course.
