There's a tensioner (screw) located underneath the alternator. Loosen the alternator bracket screw, then feel underneath the alternator to locate the tensioner screw. It's several inches long. That's about the most half assed answer ever. There is way more involved due to the fact that the alternator belt is on the the first pulley off the cam. You have to unhook the two belts in front of it to get it on. Then you have to put the a/c belt and timing belt back on.
