How long does it take to bake a pie crust?
To pre bake a pie crust takes about 20 minutes. But this can vary, depending on your oven's accuracy. Pre heat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit before putting the pie crust in the oven. And if you are pre baking the pie crust, be sure to prick the crust with a fork all over the entire sides and bottom of the crust to prevent shrinkage. Some bakers prefer to also put a 'filler' in the crust before pre baking, such as dried beans. This helps it to retain its shape, and also helps with even browning. If the edge of the crust begins to brown before the bottom of the crust is done, you can cover the edges of the crust during the last few minutes of baking.

How do you make a peach pie?
To make the best peach pie, use fresh peaches and cut them into pieces (strips are the most common). You can use canned peaches instead. Mix the peaches with sugar and cornstarch, and a bit of cinnamon if you like. Make the crust using flour and shortenlng, using a pastry cutter to get it to a crumbly texture. Add water, a bit at a time, until the crumbles stick together. Roll out the crust with a rolling pin and put it into a pie pan. Cut off the excess with a knife or just pinch it off. Add the filling. Roll out the top crust and place it over the topping. Pinch off the excess and 'flute" the edges. Sprinkle the top crust with sugar and cinnamon. Bake the pie for the specified time in the recipe. How do you make rhubarb pie?
Ingredients 1 egg 1 1/2 cups white sugar 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 3 cups chopped rhubarb 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Stir together the egg, white sugar, flour, salt and rhubarb in a mixing bowl. Place one of the pie shells in the bottom of a 9 inch pie plate. Pour pie filling into shell; dot with butter. Put top crust over filling and cut slits into crust. Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes; or cook 7 minutes in a microwave and then about 10 minutes in the oven.
