you pull the straps inside the trunk, if it is a newer model that is. or if it is an older one the straps will be on the side of both seats, just dig for them a little bit.

I've owned a 78 and 79 grand prix and removed the rear seat in both. If I recall, the rear seat has bolts in the front. I know that the back of the seat is latched. You simply push down on the cushion in the rear of the seat to push the hook back far enough that you disengage it from the hook - once pushed down, I believe you pull it forward. There are two - about the middle thirds of the seat. If there aren't bolts in the front, the it also has push down latch releases - push down and pull foward.
