I have a mix of Australian Shepard and border collie, and let me tell you, they need almost constant attention. They love to run, so if you can, take them on long walks or runs. They're very athletic, so you might want to try to teach it fetch to keep it confident and healthy. If you have to leave him/her alone for a work or school day, then try buying a food ball. You just load it up with food and/or treats, and when they're hungry enough they roll it around and eat the food that comes out. It helps my dog be healthy and active during a lonely day. They loooove people if they're nice to the dog. My fifty pound one thinks she's a two pound lapdog, it's kind of ironic. My Aussie loves lamb and rice type food, you should try it with yours. Basically, you need to give them tons of T.L.C and let them run and be outdoors a lot. Also, you might want to try a really heavy duty brush, because they have really long and thick hair. Try to groom them almost every day, so they don't get knots all over them.
It is a noun. Is that what you are asking?

The best way to teach an Australian Shepherd sit pretty is to practice, practice, practice. By repeating the process and giving a treat when it is done correctly, the Australian Shepherd will start to sit pretty.
It's some sort of Shepherd. My top three guesses are English Shepherd Australian Shepherd Border Collie It could be any one...but Australian shepherd's tails are normally docked...

Australian Shepherd is a descendant of dogs from Basque which were brought to Australia and US by the shepherds. It was later crossed with other Collie type dogs to create a dog with excellent herding skills. Initially Australian Shepherd was used for herding cattle.
