Block up the ATV with the rear end off the ground. Remove both rear tires. Remove the brake assembly(brake drum, etc). Should be two locking nuts that hold the axle in place. remove those nuts. Axle slides out the passenger side

To replace the axle on a 1993 Honda Civic the axle nut has to come off. The hub assembly also will need to be pulled back so the axle can be pulled from the transmission.

undo pinch bolts, rotate cam clockwise (that's the big housing that the axle runs through) and tighten pinch bolts again. Its not a cam its called the carrier and you would turn towards the front of the ATV to tighting, still allow the chain to have some slack 3/4 inch

on the rear axle housing, sprocket side, there should be a large spanner nut. Loosen the two bolts that tighten the rear axle in the housing and turn that spanner nut. Not sure which direction, you should be able to figure that out.
No. They bolt up differently and have different bearing and seal kits. Also the axle is not as thick as a 300 axle.
