If it has an HEI distributor (big cap), the coil is on the cap.

possibly the oil pressure sending switch...thats whats on my 87 305 h WRONG!!!!!!!!! the oil pressure switch/sensor is where it always is on pushrod small chevy's, under the distributor. what you see next to the right valve cover are the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor, and below that is the EGR control solenoid
