If it has an HEI distributor (big cap), the coil is on the cap.
it is mounted to the starter !

The module is located underneath the coil packs.
Click the link.
check fuel pump, check coil pack.
You have coil springs front and rear as well as shocks.
Fuel pump, check pressure Coil, see if you are getting spark to plugs
unhook the battery, remove the cerpintine belt, remove the wires, remove the bad alternator, put on the new alternator, replace the wires starting w/ the negative one, replace the cerpintine belt, tighten the belt.
First find the coil it should be close to the distributor you will have two little screw post on the Coil it self. If you will look real good it will have a pos + terminal and the other post will be your neg - terminal the coil will be sitting in a grounded holder.I hope this will help you find what your looking for.fatdaddy466
on the left side front of engine there will be 3 coil packs in a line. take the two screws off each coil pack and fold coil pack back and module will come free from under coil packs you will then need a 7mm nut driver to take loose wiring harness.try to remember to put heat displacement material on new module .it gets pretty hot there
Try changing the temp sensor, fuel filters and coil packs. That's what they said was wrong with mine, although that didn't fix mine it made it better for a while and may help yours.
