well I'd say bring it in but that can be really costly.( only recharge your a/c if it once worked, if it never did your wasting your money) go to your nearest Kmart or Walmart store. in the automotive section they should have a/c recharge kits. sometimes they have the kits in the box that have 3 freon bottles with the brass unit that threads onto the bottle, ant their is adapters in the box for older systems. i got my box kit at Kmart so look there first. if you cannot find that you have to buy everything separately and do not buy the huge 22 oz bottle. you have to buy the piece that screws onto the bottle. one end of it is brass the other end is plastic, with a gauge in the center of it. (their should also be instructions in that) close to that there should be an adapter kit with 4 pieces in it. you may need this. its nice to get it so you can do your friends a/c. Their should be 10 or 12 oz white bottles saying 134a on them. id pick up about 3 or 4. that's all the parts you have to buy. when you get to your car locate the low side of the a/c system.( if the a/c works at all its the side that gets cold when your car is running and on max cool.) if you cant find it that way its normally the higher a/c tube. (can follow from the pump, aluminum lines.) its the smaller of the 2 connections. if the plastic coupler fits on it great if not find the adapter that the coupler fits on and that fits on the low side. (if older system the connection looks like a stem to air up your tires). when you find that start your car turn the a/c on and up tit to max cool. connect the bottle then connect to the system. puncture the seal on the can and add until the gauge reads in the upper side of blue. if you need pictures email me at jottow680@hotmail.com. hope this helped
The 1990 Mitsubishi does not have an air conditioning recharge line. The vehicle has an air conditioning recharge port. You can recharge your air conditioning system through the low pressure port on the air conditioning compressor.
