I had a 1994, and the cans you buy in the store will not fit it, and most small shops don't have the adapter. So you can either find a shop that has the adapter, which I was told will cost extra, or try to find a auto parts store that sales the adapter.
Connect the Freon recharge hoses to the ports on the air conditioner compressor. With the hoses connected release the Freon into the compressor.

The 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan air conditioning recharge valve is located on the air conditioning compressor. The recharge valve will be labeled as such.
It will have R134a...which you can buy without a license at any parts store. At the very least buy a recharge hose with a gauge so you can tell when you've got the right amount in it. It would be a good idea to check the system for leaks before putting a bunch of freon in it only to have it leak right back out.
