You can't get it back unless you were a forensic filest.

It might be possible, because when you delete a file it doesn't disappear off the hard disc, it simply has its filename altered slightly so that it no longer appears in any lists and the space it occupies on the disc is used by other files when thery are saved. So there is a time between deletion and being overwritten when it could be restored, if it can be found. There is software available which will try to do this. Google for it.

∙ 11y agoThis depends, if you have emptied the recycling bin than unfortunately the file is gone. However, if it is in the recycling bin that you can just hold the left mouse button on it and drag it onto your desktop to re open the file.

When you delete a file by dragging or hit Delete key, the deleted files will be listed in Recycle Bin. Please click Restore to recover it. If you delete a file with hitting Shift and Delete or emptied recycle bin, to recover these files, you will need some third-party data reocvery tools.

For windows XP get yourself a copy of diskternals. I have had some very good results in the past with this program.
If the file is in the Recycle bin, it is easy to recover it. Simply click on the icon for recycle bin on your desktop, and locate the file you just deleted. Then right click on it, and select restore. This would restore the file back to its original location.
Commonly use to recover a deleted file is to go in the recycle bin and restore it but if the file is deleted through shift-delete the file will not find in the bin. To retrieve the files that were deleted by shift-delete, you will need to download and install the shift delete file recovery software which is downloadable online.

This is true, after you empty the recycle bin the contents that were in the bin are lost for forever. You can still restore something from the bin before hitting empty to save it.
For FREE, you can get a pair of tools called GETDATABACK. (Search for the PORTABLE versions). make sure you have a spare hard drive to recover to. if you recover one file and place it on top of another file, the other file becomes much harder to recover.
Restore your computer to an earlier date when you had saved your file or Using ERD Commander disk to recover deleted files. Generally the second option works more better because i have used that.
