Not a DIY job. Take it to an A/C shop. Actually, isn't the ac right in the front of the engine. It looks like a large cylinder, and it's a little longer than the alternator. It's right on the front left of the engine connected to the belt assembly. All you have to do is pick up a recharge unit at an autoparts store and use the low pressure port (the one on the far right of the ac unit) to fill it up. Usually you have to have the car running with the ac set to max to do the recharge though.
where do I add freon to my air conditioning unit on a 1997 chevy truck?
I think so, but don't you have to be a professional to do it legally?
When charging your Jaguar X-type air conditioning unit you will need R-135a Freon with oil added in. There are 2 ports on the air conditioning unit, one big and one small. Make sure that the car is running and the air conditioner is on full blast, then hook the Freon refill rig onto the port that it fits to recharge the system.
It should tell you on the air conditioning unit but it's more than likely R12. I have an '89 Caprice and it takes R12.
Back of the motor, next to the oil filter...
You will have a bad rear expansion valve located in the rear a/c unit.........
bottom left side hosing unit ,with short rubber hose through fire wall
Not by yourself, and not a window unit at all.

Saturn is not the name of a chemical element and therefore does not have any atomic mass unit.
