How do you reinstall halo custom edition when I tried to play halo ce it said they have detected that one of the Halo PC files is missing or corrupted. they recommend removing and reinstalling.?

Reinstall Halo, the original PC game. Then try reinstalling Halo CE. If Halo CE still doesn't work, uninstall both programs using "Revo Uninstaller," which can be found at http://www.revouninstaller.com/
Then reinstall the original Halo, then Halo CE. It should work fine now!
I've had similar problems, Revo Uninstaller is amazing at cleaning up your computer after an uninstall.

No. If the device is not detected, you have a hardware problem, not a software problem. Something is wrong with either your USB port or your drive; uninstalling and reinstalling the software will have no effect.

I'm not sure exactly what the question is. If it loads Windows, obviously the hard disk WAS detected. Still, it may be a faulty motherboard or a failing hard disk or a corrupted installation of Windows or something. You may want to get it checked out by calling tech support.

There is a boot time scan in Avast antivirus. Schedule the boot time scan and restart the PC Avast will try to fix the virus problems before the user authentication window. Note: Make sure that you should not delete the system files when Avast scanner has detected the system files as corrupted. Like explorer.exe , svchost.exe etc. If this has not fixed the problem, then download a live cd for windows and boot from it. Backup all the data and reinstall the windows.
