top the rad up and the overflow tank start the car and turn the heat on full blast. Then under the hood where the top rad hose hooks to the engine there is a bleeder nut it should be 12mm loosen it just a bit so little coolant comes out and once its pure coolant with no bubbles tighten it. if once the engine cools there is another air lock issue there could be air leaking back threw a line or head ect.

I don't know the Acura as they are not in the UK But it may well have safety device fitted that will not allow you to shift from park unless your foot is on the brake pedal. If this is the case, check that the brake lights are working, if they are not it may indicate a faulty brake light switch.
