my bonnet is stuck fast how can i open it.
In the event the Audi A3 is stuck in park:
Under the bonnet. When you open the bonnet, it's on the top right side.
open the bonnet and right at the top under the air con vents you have the battery under a cover (please note that only mechanics or Audi mechanics can take it out as you have to dismantle the entire air vent system

It's in the big airbox - lots of dismantling, the whole thing comes out from under the bonnet. Then you dismantle the airbox to get to the matrix - not for the faint-hearted.
Insert key into lock, twist right, door unlocks.
If you open the bonnet and look just below where the drivers side wiper bolts on theres a black plastic box with an umberalla embossed on it, its in there.
When your transmission is in park, it has a key release switch that can get corroded over time. I cleaned mine on my older Audi. You might be able to do that on yours. If it is intermittent, run the lever from park to neutral, then back to park. Turn the key to start, but do not start the car. turn the key back to the off position. It should then pull out.
On a left hand drive model, and I would bet yours is there too, there is a pull tab to the far left shaped like a T.
Low on coolant. Stuck open thermostat. Partially blocked heater core.
