Freon is added in the low pressure port of the ac system. It is on an aluminum pipe on the passengers side, close to the ac drier.
The heater/outside air intake is in the 'cowl' panel, directly under the windshield. Look for the cabin filter, and that's the entry point for air going to the heat/cooling. The Owners Manual will have illustrated instructions on finding and replacing the cabin filter to help get you started. See "Related Questions" below for more

Look for a little round blue plastic valve the size of a penny on the lines somewhere accessible. generally near compressor.
The dealership can order you a new one or you can try local wrecking yards for a used one.
open the hood remove the air intake funnel remove the base of the air duck and you will find the blower..

look it up at autozone.com It is below the intake housing on the bottom of the drivers side strut tower. It is called the CCRM.
The AC has to be dischared, and the AC lines have to be removed at the firewall. The AC drier has to be remved, because there are nuts on the outside of the firewall under the hood to remove that are hidden by the drier. I believe there are 4 nuts to remove, but there might only be three.
Can't say for positive sure, but I would expect the Freestar/Monterey blend door actuator motor to be much like the Windstar. Common failure, easy replacement - about $40 See "Related Questions" below for links to the Windstar related blend door discussions
