I had Elmer's spray adhesive stuck to my fingers this morning. I rubbed some baby oil on my hands as you would lotion, and it came right off.
If it is Elmer's Spray Contact glue you have problem. Acetone will remove it, but may damage the fabric. Test it first on a small patch.

I would try the Best Cleaner Ever from ScraPerfect. It is effective and safe--for people and the environment. It removes spray paint and other kinds of paint and yet it has no fumes and is safe for skin. (It also removes adhesive and sharpie markers...) You can google it--there are lots of videos about it also.
Soak the skin in water and remove the tape while skin is submerged.
Warm it up with a hair dryer, then pull it. Clean off residue with Goo Gone.
Nail polish remover, or adhesive removers work well.
