No, what you need to do is put Vaseline on the actual deer tick then wait approx. 10 minutes or so and get a good set of tweezers preferably pointy ones . And the deer tick should back itself out and then remove with tweezers. the Vaseline cuts off the oxygen so the deer tick cant breathe. and the vaseline makes it much easier to remove it even if it was giving a problem of not backing out.....

How can I remove dye stain in the bath
I would use vaseline (petroleum Jelly). Work the vaseline into the skin and then washing your hands in warm, soapy water.
I have also been looking for Vaseline Intensive Care Bath Oil. I was told by a manager at a Drug Emporium store in Louisiana that it was "no longer available from the company." Her understanding was that it was no longer being made. Big Bummer! It is about the only bath oil that contains no lanolin, which happens to be a bad allergen for me. I have heard there is a Vaseline bath gel out now, but so far I haven't been able to locate it. I would love to hear if anyone locates the gel or another lanolin free alternative.
Use a toothbrush to brush them to remove any dry skin and put on Vaseline at night.

Vaseline shampoo has a distinct, attractive smell to keep the user feeling fresh. The shampoo has the ability to remove sebum and dandruff from the hair. The shampoo foams quickly for ease of use.
Put Vaseline on the scuff. Rub the scuff vigorously with your thumb until the Vaseline is dry. If you keep rubbing, the scuff will disipate. I did this for 14 years while I was in the Air Force.
