im not 100% sure on the deatils... but heres an idea.
Before you start... make sure you straighten the wheels and try not to move it the whole time ur doing this or u can be in big trouble.
There should be 2 screws/Alan key (cant remember exactly) behind your centre of the sttering wheel, once you unscrew this your airbag should come loose.
Unplug the airbag and there will be a coil inside... DO NOT ROTATE... there wil be a big Alan key in the center, once you unscrew this the turn signal switch should be loose...
its pretty simple, but just avoid rotating the coil and remember as best as you can how it was when u opened it... i was told this can mess up a lot of things if this breaks.

Look under the dash on the 1996 suburban, and locate the brake light switch on the brake pedal arm. Remove the switch nut, and slide the switch out. Unplug the wires from the switch and install the new switch.
