You need to remove the two screws underneath the woodgrain lookin face, and theres two more screws at the bottom hidden under the wood grain lookin plate around the shifter. You need to remove the one around the shifter to get to them. After you have removed the face plates there's four screws holding the stereo unit in, remove them, pull your stereo out and unhook the harness's.
There is no way possible to remove the stereo and replace it with an aftermarket stereo. I have talked to 15 Nissan Dealers and Nissan head technical office. They all state that it can not be done. --+Skifo How Much
First remove the ash tray - press the release inside the ash tray compartment and pull it out. then, remove the screws inside this ash tray compartment. then, remove the dash cover around the stereo. then, unbolt the bracket around your stereo. then, pull it out, and unplug it. put in your new stereo (you may need a wiring harness, or insert depending on what type of stereo you are putting in that you can buy where you'd buy the new stereo.) do the opposite of what you did uninstalling to install the new stereo. you're done.
