Somewhere in the belt path, is a tensioner. It looks much like the rest of the pulleys, but
is mounted on a spring loaded arm which swivels. Once you locate that, you can put a socket or other tool on it and move it so that the belt loosens. Pull the belt off while holding the tensioner.
NOTE: Check to see if you have a belt routing diagram somewhere under the hood. If so, good. There will be no problem replacing the belt. If not, make your own diagram of the belt routing so you can get it back correctly.

loosen the idler pulley and then remove the belt. then you remove the fan shroud i believe its like 4 bolts, then you remove the fan. after that you can remove the water pump.

Loosen the component slide it towards the engine to lossen the belt, remove belt. Install in reverse. If the fan is your problem it is held on with 4 small bolts, remove them and the fan. P/S you should be able to work the belt around the fan blades without removing the fan. On_mitch
