To remove the headrest on a Lincoln Mark VIII, first, locate the release buttons on the sides of the headrest posts. Press these buttons while pulling the headrest upward to detach it from the seat. If the release buttons are not visible, you may need to check for a small hole on the post that can be accessed with a tool to release the locking mechanism. Once released, simply pull the headrest out of the seat.
