Step 1: Disconnect the battery!
Step 2: Remove all wiring that's attached to the starter solenoid.
There are 2 long bolts on the back of the starter ( the gear end ) I think they are 9/16. When removing the second bolt hang on to the starter body as it will fall.
Passenger side, next to oil pan.

Remove the positive cable from your 1975 Chevrolet Corvette battery. Remove the two cables from the front of the starter. Remove the starter retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new starter.
You can hook up the starter, on your 1984 Chevrolet, by attaching the ground cable and the hot cable to the appropriate posts on the starter. Bolt the starter into place.
Remove the positive battery cable from your 1987 Chevrolet Blazer battery. Remove the starter cables from the front of the starter. Remove the starter retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new starter.
I had to remove the bell housing, otherwise the starter lacked about a 1/4 of an inch from being able to get it off.
