According to the Clymer service manual, the approximate engine oil refill capacities of a Yamaha Virago XV1100 are: With filter change : 3.3 quarts (3,100 cc) Without filter change : 3.2 quarts (3,000 cc) Engine rebuild : 3.8 quarts (3,600 cc)
To remove the keyed ignition on a 95 Yamaha Virago 1100, kindly refer to your user manual.
Get a shop manual. remove primary cover and primary chain. Remove rotor. Unplug stator from voltage regulator. Remove stator. Reverse process to install. You will need a manual and an impact wrench... at very least.

Yes you do. You have to take the distributor shaft out of the distributor to Remove the pick-up coil / stator.
The drain plug on a 1981 Virago 750 on the underneath part of the radiator. You will need to remove a bolt to drain it.
As far as I know, there was no Virago 1110; I suppose you're referring to the Virago XV1100. I don't have it's factory manual, but the Clymer service manual covers it, and according to that the spark gap should be 0.7-0.8 mm, as with most of these bikes. Actually, the required plugs (NGK BP7ES or BPR7ES, depending on who do you trust - the difference is an incorporated series resistor in the "R" plug) seem to come factory-set to that gap, but it never hurts to check, I guess...
Disconnect negative battery terminal, drain chaincase, remove outer chaincase cover, remove chain tensioner top center nut, remove compensator nut (right hand threads), loosen clutch adjuster locknut, back out clutch adjuster several turns, remove clutch release plate retaining clip, remove clutch release plate, remove clutch nut (left hand threads), remove clutch, compensator, chain tensioner & chain as a unit, remove alternator rotor, unplug stator, remove screws holding stator to motor case, remove stator. For installation reverse above procedure.
