There is no drain plug. Only a fill plug. You have to remove the cover to drain the rear end. Use RTV to reseal it.
There is a round plate that is bolted to the rear end housing on the back. You have to remove all the bolts and then the plate to drain the gear oil.
very simple there is a plug on the side of the rear end that takes a 3/8 rachet just loosen that plug and remove.
there in a plug towards the front by the drive line on the rear end,remove the plug if rear end fluid comes out it topped off.if no fluid (rear end) comes out put fluid in it till it starts to drizzle out.reinstall fluid..if the rear end has not had a service or it smells burnt or is black replace gasket clean rear end with brakekleen and top off fluid...
remove the 10mm bolt and remove it.disconnect plug at other end.
If it is the rear one, Then you have to remove the rear end plate to drain it. The front has a drain plug just above the skid plate, on the right bottom side. and a fill plug above the drain plug.
Uniess it has an aftermarket cover with a drain plug the only way is to remove the cover on the rear of the housing. (can be messy)

If you look at the rear end where the drivershaft bolts to it you will find the plug screewed into the rear end in that area.
It is in the center of the rear cover.
