an extended cab short bed chevy from 89-99
the 2wd driveshaft will be too long...theres no transfer case. Cant i remove the transfercase and bolt the driveshaft right to the trans? New answer: The center shaft in the 4x4 transmission is a long shaft so you caninstall the transfur case on to it.The transmission in 2 wheel dr. trucks have a short shaft running through theTransmission. So what you are wanting to doWILL NOT WORK.Now you can take your trans. completely apart and remove the center shaft, andgo buy a short shaft for your trans. Then put it all back together. Remove thetransfur case housing on your trans. and install a regular tail shaft housing ontoyour trans. Plus a 2 wheel drive drive shaft. And you now have a 2- wheel dr.
It's pressed on the shaft. You'll need to pull the driveshaft, separate the center spline then you need to find a press to remove the old bearing and press on the new one.
i measured it from spider gear to spider at 59.5 inches for short wheele base
Short answer, the number of driveshaft rotations to achieve one full rotation of the axles. E.g, a truck with a 3.55:1 gear ratio requires 3.55 turns of the driveshaft to turn the axle shafts one full rotation.
If you have a car that came with a long shaft 350, it would be a big deal to put a short shaft 350 in it. The tailshaft mount would need to be relocated and the driveshaft would need to be replaced.
Your angle is too steep and your drive shaft maybe too short!
About 2" but because the rear driveshaft is so short I have seen ppl experience problems with just 2" of lift.
change the spark plug or check the gap on the spark plug. clean your air filter.
Yes, there are 2 of them. Nearside (LHS) on short driveshaft, Offside (RHS) on long driveshaft. Typically not available from motor factors as a separate item, may have to buy a complete drive shaft to repair. Symptoms of faulty inner CV joint: Vibration when driving above a certain speed, which offens goes away when under load, and gets worse when the accelerator is lifted.
The usual pronunciation of remove has a short I sound (rih), a long OO (long U), and a silent E.
to the best of my knowledge it was produced from 1967 to mid year of 1977. they had what is called a divorced transfer case with a short driveshaft between the transmission and the transfer case. they may have been produced earlier but im not sure.
