Mount for a scope.
Hello: Weaver offers a scope base for the Marlin Model 512 Slugmaster, contact Weaver for a complete package. Thanks side scope mount (Weaver 10M)
There are two types of early weaver tip-off mounts, one style had to be mounted to the side of a reciever but had a two piece ring mounting which could be opened to remove or place a scope. The other tip-off is one piece style which fit on a grooved receiver, and was installed at the factory on each scope.Typically these weren't meant to be moved, but can be IF the 3/4" scope has removable turrets. Since these scopes are not sealed nor carry nitrogen, and since they are inexpensive you can do it, just be very careful and clean about undoing the turrets and slide the mount off the front end.
Since it has weaver rails, all you need are Weaver scope rings. An offset mount will help too.
Scope mounts that mount on the left side of the receiver using the four screw holes are available from Weaver.
$25-$50, depending on condition.
You need a Weaver Side Mount #2 (which is the base). Weaver also make 1" side mount rings that mount onto this base. That's what I have on my .222 Savage 340.
It all depends on the Daisy Scope rings that you have. The M4 has a removable front and rear sight. This will allow you to add a scope to the Weaver rail mount on the M4 if your scope rings are the weaver size. If not, then you need to purchase weaver scope rings for your scope.
A weaver number 2 base and your choice of weaver side mount rings, midway has both. Total cost for both pieces is around $50.
You mount it the same way you mount a scope. The rifle or gun must have an 11MM or Weaver mount on the barrel for the red dot to attach to.
Both Weaver and 11mm Scope rails are used on air guns and air rifles. So you will just have to try.
