This is hard due to limited space. Disconnect the neg. battery cable then the wiring and take the belt off and finally the mounting bolts. You have to also remove the intake manifold to have room for removal.

Hi You'll have to go trough a hell of an operation. To begin with: remove wiper arm and wipermotor, then loosen and rotate alternatorbracket. remove inlet manifold. do remember to have a new gasket for the manifold.
There is 2 of them. and they are under the intake manifold. You will have to remove the intake manifold to get to them.
Remove the intake manifold retaining bolts from your 1993 Mercedes-Benz manifold. Remove the old manifold gasket. Clean the surface and put the new gasket on.
Remove the intake manifold, exhaust manifold, and then remove the head.
It is easier to remove the upper intake.
Basically you remove the throttle body, fuel rail, and anything else that is plugging into it, then unbolt it. You need to get a shop manual however, because there is a specific bolt pattern you need to use to avoid damage.

For # 3 and # 5, manual suggests removal of resonator and the intake strut bolt at the cylinder head. Next, remove the intake strut bolt and the intake manifold and swing the strut out of the way.
