no the shifter linkage are not the same between the sohc and dohc
You need to replace the shifter switch (parts and labor cost me $150) -- I finally just had this fixed on my 1992 Integra, and am very happy to be done with this annoyance!
1st o2 senor is between exhaust. 2nd o2 sensor is under shifter
Frame number is located below gear shifter,slightly forward on bottom frame rail. Engine number is next to cylinder,exhaust side of engine,below exhaust
You I am sure know by now- but here goes- (there is a switch on the shifter rod that goes completely throu the tranny)opposite side of the tranny (idiot side) by the exhaust that goes bad because of the exhaust heat. Cost around $100. The exhaust must be dropped from headers. The clutch is master and or slave cylinder are bad
You have to take out the center consol behind the parking brake then remove the cover over that is around the shifter lever then theres 2 screws when you look up from the floor the are screwed into the back of the unit.
exhaust removal, driveshaft removal, shifter boot and shifter removal,transmission removal, removal of pressure plate and clutch disc, suggest replacing pilot bearing and replacing slave cylinder, removal and turning of flywheel, suggest replacing throw-out bearing. a full clutch kit will come with new pilot bearing, pressure plate and clutch disc, and throw-out bearing. generally a two man job
sounds like you've blown your clutch or the syncros are fried, bring it to a tranny shop.
The shifter cable connects the shifter to the transmission.
1st one is on the exhaust manifold by the last 3 cylinders facing the interior and the 2nd is almost directly under the center console shifter on top of the U-bend on the exhaust of course your might have to remove the pipe
