I would start by purchasing a repair manual-like Haynes or Chilton- these are available at most parts stores. Descriptions are sometimes a lttle too brief but pictures tell you what bolts etc. to look at. Right now I'm considering the same thing on a 95 escort. I already replaced the ignition cylinder switch and the manual was a big help. Better yet autozone.com has a great deal of repair info and is more specific to the job at hand. http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/13/ae/c9/0900823d8013aec9.jsp
