Under the passenger seat, facing forward. Its a pre OBD connector.
Try some switch-cleaner on the yellow connecting plug under the passenger seat!
Cyl #3 is right side (passenger side) head 2nd one back from front. Right head cyl # is 1,3,5,7 and left is 2,4,6,8. Remove the valve cover and the connector to the glow plug. Using a 10mm deep socket and wrench loosen and remove. Install new one and reassemble. Don't forget to connect the one wire connector to the plug before putting the valve cover back on.
Above the passenger side footwell you will find a white connector with 4 wires. Disconnect the plug, remove the two small hex-head screws and you can remove the fan motor resistor. It is poorly made and may be corroded or burnt out, but it is certainly easy to remove and replace.
I found an adapter of the Silverado plug connector at the local U-Haul Store.
The OBD II connector is under the ashtray. Remove the ashtray and slide the plastic cover to the left and the connector will be visible.

Diagnostic plug. Diagnostic connector. Data link connector.
on the passenger side below the glove box door is the obd2 connector.
You have to remove the glove compartment (not sure on how many bolts, its been a while), once it is removed you can see 2 12mm or 14mm bolts that have to be removed. You can't miss these bolts as they are a gold color. Once those bolts are removed you can slide the passenger air bag out some. Next you have to remove the plug from the side of it. It is on the passenger side of the actual airbag and it is a single wire plug into the side of it. Once that is removed you can take it all the way out. The installation is the opposite of the directions that I have provided. Good luck, as that one wire plug can be hard to take out.
You have to reach over the top of the front wheels over the frame and you will see the spade type connectors and on some a proctective metal shield. The glow plugs without the shields are straight forward, you just pull the spade connector off and remove the glow plugs and insert a new and tighten, reinstall the spade connector. The glow plugs with shields: you must remove the shields and look further up the glow plug wire to find a weatherpack connector and undo it and slide the shield down and remove spade connector from plug and remove and install new plug and shield. The right rear glow plug is very difficult to reach and is mostly done working blind.
