Remove door panel and replace latch mechanism
The sensor is part of the door latch. You would have to remove the door pne and unplug the latch.
First you take the door panel off. Just pull it off carefully so you don't destroy the little plastic push pins that hold it on. Unplug the remote mirror control. Then you remove the inside door handle by removing the two screws and the bar/lever. Unplug the wire connected to the latch body. It breaks pretty easily, but don't worry about it because the new latch will have a new connection on it. Remove the 3 screws on the end of the door holding the latch in place. You don't have to remove the electronic door lock mechanism. There is a lever running from the latch to the keyhole that has a snap holding it. Unsnap it a push lever aside. Unscrew the top of the door lock and try to work the bar down to where you can get it out the inside of the door. Work the latch around until you get all the levers off or disconnected from their source. Reverse it to put it back in.
Start by removing the door panel for the effected door latch. The latch should have about 3 torx screws holding it in place. You also need to remove the outer door handle, and have to use a long thin torx bit to gain access to the screw. once the outer door handle is removed, then you can remove the door latch/lock assembly. depending on which door, you also might need to drill out a couple of rivets on the window regulator to be able to remove the latch.
The latch is attached to linkages... you have to grab those linkages and pull them in the direction that the latch would've pulled them (usually inward).
To fix the 300m latch, you will need to remove the inner door panel. After the door panel has been removed, then you can check the door latch components to determine what has broken and how to best repair it.
