You can determine if your Chevy Trailblazer has a factory amp by checking under the driver's side seat. The original inventory shipped with the vehicle also lists if an amp is installed.

A 2007 Chevy Avalanche will only have an external factory amplifier if it is equipped with a Bose stereo system. If there is a factory amp included, it will be underneath the center console.

If it says BOSE on it anywhere it will have an amp for each speaker in the doors. The Factory GM radio does not have an amp and has poor sound to amplify. Most members of our forum choose and after market stereo to amplify. Come and read in our AUDIO section www.trailvoy.com
It is located under the passenger side seat. Slide the seat forward and remove the plastic cover that has JBL stamped on it. The amp will then be revealed.
bypass the factory amp
If equipped it is mounted under the dash on the passenger side 'A' pillar. You need to remove the under dash trim, remove two nuts, and pull amp out.
