Rub it with a rough rag dipped in Goof Off, it will soon soften enough to peel it off.
Rent a floor sander from Home Depot and remove it all very quickly. -Be sure to wear mask and goggles, it makes a lot of dust you don't want to inhale

Warm water and a little scrubbing can remove white glue or school glue.
Goof Off will remove almost any glue, including super glue types from laminate and hardwood flooring. Just rub with a rag and a few drops of Goof Off and the glue soon softens and can be peeled off. This has not harmed 3 different types of flooring that I've tested it on.
try lighter fluid and a terry cloth. it worked for me. obviously be careful, have good ventilation, and wear good knee pads. -AZ_ivan

If the wooden floor is going directly onto terrazo there is no way to nail it.

dampen a rag with lighter fluid or mineral spirits. no you wont remove the polyurethane, its dry. but it will however remove the glue with no problem or blemishes in your poly.

Heat it with an iron, then scrape off with a wooden spatula with sharp edge.
Scrape off carefully with a very sharp craft knife with blade held almost parallel to the floor.

Turn the glue gun on to loosen the glue, then, if the glue is persistent, use a wooden stick to CAREFULLY pick the glue off.

if it is glued with a lino paste glue,you shouldn't have a problem with the uplift. If its glued with an acrylic glue you can rent a power stripper to make the uplift easier.
