in order to change the rotors on the Colorado you have to take the whole hub assembly off. ( the rotor is bolted to the hub assembly from the backside so leave the bolts in until you get the whole assembly off) Which means that you have to take off the the wheel ( remove the lug nuts and take off the rim and tire) then take off the brake pads and caliper (the caliper is bolted on with 4 bolts) then you have to undo the wire holding the wheel speed sensor onto the spindle. The wheel speed sensor is the circular black piece of metal with 2 wires going to it. ( there wires are in a rubber housing so kinda looks like a rubber brake line going to be backside of the spindle) Remove the wheel speed sensor. Next take out the four bolts on the back side of the spindle that hold the hub assembly on. ( the four bolts are in a square shape pattern right by where the wheel speed sensor is mounted) one you have removed the bolts the assembly should come out. However, when i tryed to get mine out i tapped on it a few times from the backside with a brass hammer and it did not want to come out. So when i called the dealer they said they found it easier to put a porta-power ( small hydraulic ram that you manuel pump) from the lower control arm mount into the center of the hub from the backside. It will pop once or maybe a few times then it just falls out. DO NOT just rapidly start pumping the porta power because it does build up a pretty good amount of force that could push it off very fast. Once you have the hub assembly and rotor out unbolt the 6 bolts holding the rotor on and replace it with the new rotor. when you have that reassembled then put the hub assembly back in and the four bolts on the backside will pull the assembly back in as far as it is supposed to.( does not have to be pressed back in, porta power is only used so you do not have to beat on anything and worry about breaking any parts) then reinstall the wheel speed sensor and rebolt it back to the spindle and put the brakes and caliper back on and then put the wheel back on.
