If your vehicle is fuel injected then the regulator will be located in the rear of the fuel rail on the right side.
You do not need to remove the fuel rail to remove the spark plugs.
It is located under the passengers seat just inside of the outer rail beneath the car.GLDean
Have to remove the fuel rail's to get to them.
Remove the fuel rail
bullnose pliers to remove the clip, and remove the fuel rail, replace the O-rings on the injectors, and press them into the intake, then the rail, then replace everything you had to remove
# Relieve the sytsem fuel pressure # Disconnect the negative battery cable # Disconnect the vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator # Disconnect the main injector harness electrical connector and the injector connectors.Detach the wiring harness retainers from the fuel rail and set the harness aside.Apply a numbered tag to each connector with the number of the cylinder # Remove the two bolts that attach the fuel pressure line flange to the fuel rail and disconnect the pressure line from the fuel rail # Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the fuel return hose from the fuel return line # Clean and debris from around the injectors.Remove the fuel rail mounting bolts.Gently rock the fuel rail and injectors to loosen.Remove the fuel rail and fuel injectors as an assembly.Remove the fuel rail insulators.Inspect the insulators for cracks.If the insulators are cracked replace them # Remove the retaining clip and remove the injectors from the fuel rail assembly # Remove and discard all the old o-rings and seals and replace with new ones
You have to remove the upper intake and its located on the driver side fuel rail on the 4.0L
disconnect the battery and disconnect the fuel line hookup to the fuel rail, remove the fuel rail support bolts and electrical connection. remove the rail from the engine. pull off each injector easily replace each fuel injector with seals. don't use the old seals.
the fule regulator or pressure regulator is situated on the left hand side of the fuel rail do not remove unless you realy have to as the fuel rail is under pressure.

you need to disconnect the hoses above the fuel rails, remove the air instake hose, remove those filters on the hoses, remove the fuel lines off the fuel rails, pull the fuel rails up not sideways you may brake the injectors! the injectors do not screw on they just pop in and out of the fuel rail and engine block...pretty simple id be glad to do it for anyone free if your around elizabethtown ky, i have a ls400 1991 and i know these cars pretty well!
