Open the hood there are to locking pin above each headlight assembly. Turn them you unlock them and pull the up. Once they are removed the headlight assembly can be removed.
There are two screws on the outside of the tail light assembly. Remove these two screws (keep them) and the assembly should be able to be removed from the truck. Carefully twist the socket out of the tail light assembly. Pull the old light bulb out of the socket and replace with new. Insert the tail light assembly into position in the truck bed and replace the two screws.

Remove plastic grill.(screws on top,snaps at bottom)Now you can easily see the 4 bolts that attach each light housing.Remove lights, reverse order to replace.
there are 3 pull tabs on each light housing. lift up and remove all 3 and simply pull out the complete assembly very easy

when you put the tailgate down there will be two screws to remove the light assembly. then to open the light assembly it requires a 1/4" nut driver I believe? good luck its easy
There is no 1998 CTS
I would recomend purchsing a shop manual for that truck. It would give you step by step directions to remove the dash assembly. It will be a time consuming job. Good luck.
Fuel filter is in the fuel tank under the fuel pump. You have to drop the tank and remove the pump assembly to change the filter.
Remove the 4 nuts that are against the pulley behind the fan with the belt still on the truck. Once these nuts are removed, the fan will separate from the pulley. Now you can remove the belt & water pump pulley.
Open the tailgate and undo the retaining screws on the side of the brake light assembly. Then trun the bulb holder counter clockwise and take the bulb out. chiefy98clg@yahoo.com
