Those headrests are part of the passive restraint system. They will pop forward in a collision. You have to loosen and pull up on the seat cover to access the electrical plug in the seat back.
I've tried looking them back in but it doesn't work. As soon as I let go,they pop right back out. Is there anything that I'm not doing or that I'm doing wrong?
how to remove front electric head rests on audi a8
I'm afraid you cant remove the front head rests, very frustrating as I've brought new seat covers :o(
Once the bolt under the plastic cap is removed, the arm rests still do not come off. They move easily up and down but outside of taking a crowbar to pry them off, they won't budge. Thanks.
Main objective is to remove sub-woofer
Simple just use a chainsaw comes off easy.
Try JC Whitney. Search engine it.
fold back seat down, take ashtrays out of rear arm rests, remove the screws holding down the top of the arm rests, remove arm rests, remove plastic panel below the back window, above the back seat, same thing to the plastic panel above the rear window, remove screws holding in side panels, and pry them away from the side of the truck, provides access to rear speakers. DO NOT attempt to remove the side panels, as this requires unfastening the seatbelt mounts, as well as removal of the back seat.
The front of the ship sank in the water first. It went in vertical and the back cracked of of the front while sinking. The front pulled the back down with it and it now rests at the bottom of the sea.
That's kind of subjective it depends on how old you are, your weight, how tall you are and other factors. So yes you can but it's more risky.
Well on my 92 Dodge Ram Van when I bought it one of the arm rests was off .Well I thought it broke but no it wasn't it had a notch in shaft that if you put it back into the seat looking into the hole it came from well it had to be turned reversed all the way back .Then to lock it in turn it forward into position and well what I thought was broken is back together,so your answer is turn it completley backwards and it should unlock it from the seat.>> I just contacted my local dealer and I was told the arm rests can be removed. All you need is a Tork spit t25 or t30, and that will romove the bolt underneath the platica cap on the arm rest. >> On my Dodge Ram Van Class B motorhome, you raise the arm rests all the way up to the stop, then push in and continue rotating toward the rear of the seat. The above note helped me.>>On my Chevy Tommy 1987 Class C RV the seat arms were removed the same way with no tools needed. Thank you for that previous answer.
They are stamped into the door frame, you can't remove the arm rest. However, if you're wondering how to get to the INNER mechanism of the door, you have to remove the outer door skin. Instructions are elsewhere.
