How do you remove headlight switch on 1990-1995 Mercury Sable - Ford Taurus?

Wow! This is not easy... I pulled my trusty repair manual off the shelf and thought, okay, a few steps to remove it from the dash, but noooo...
Here are the steps...
NOTE: some of the steps are covered in more detail in the "Related Questions" below.
- Since you're dealing with some wiring that is HOT all the time, disconnect the negative battery cable
- Pull the knob off the headlight switch and the retainer nut you can now see
- Remove instrument cluster trim panel (the fun begins)
- remove the ignition lock cylinder (see "Related Questions")
- If you have tilt steering, drop it all the way down
- Remove the cover from under the steering column by removing the 4 bolts
- Remove the upper & lower steering column trim pieces
- Remove the multi-function switch - which is the turn signal stalk
2 torx screws and the 2 wiring connections (see "Related Questions")
- Put the gear shifter all the way down to the lowest position
- Remove the 4 screws on to the instrument cluster trim / finish panel
- Pull on the instrument cluster to release it from the hidden snap-in type fasteners
- Disconnect the wires going to the switches, clock and warning lights.
Almost there...
- Now that you can get at the backside of the headlight switch, remove the 2 screws and disconnect the wire connector.
