Cadilac deville neutral switch location and images show
I suspect you mean the neutral/safety switch. It is at the end of the shift cable, on top of the transmission, just below the brake booster. It is the main reason for not starting, not the starters! Wally of Hagerstown, MD
Begin by removing the wiring from the 2002 Chevy Cavalier neutral safety switch. Remove the neutral safety switch retaining screws. Reverse the process to install your new neutral safety switch.
There are two locks at each connection. One lock locks the the other. So if you release and pull back the first safety lock you can then squeeze the original lock to release the connection from the injector. It's a safety thing I guess.
Just pull the seat up to remove safety latch and it will come out
Try either the lower end of the steering column or on the side of the transmission
Removing a Nuetral Safety switch on a chevelle is actually quite easy. You take out four bolts and remove the gear shifter and then remove three more screws and unplug a pigtail and the safety switch comes right off.
To override a neutral safety switch, locate it (it should be at the base of the steering column) and remove the green and brown wire. Connecting these two wires together will bypass the safety switch and your reverse lights will turn on.
The neutral safety switch SHOULD be screwed into the side (normally drivers) of the transmission and will have 2 leads going from it.
The switch is bolted on the side of the transmission. Remove the bolts and the wiring connector to remove the switch for replacement.
