Without a Hoist what I do is jack up the car with a trolley jack and place axle stands up front. Get underneath car and use star screwdriver with hammer to put hole in side of oil filter and slowly turn it anti clockwise. It is in a terrible place to get to as are all fords ea-ba. Anyway this is what you have to do.
