One way to get garlic butter stains out of a couch is to pour some baking soda over the stain, let it sit for about 20 minutes, and vacuum the excess off. If this does not remove the stain, then use a cup of warm water with one tablespoon of a mild detergent to moisten the stain and gently scrub it. However, you should check to see if the couch material will not discolor with this method.
