1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner, mounting stud and duct.
3. Properly drain the engine cooling system into a suitable container.
4. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir.
5. Remove the engine strut brace bolts from the upper tie bar and rotate the struts and brace rearward.
To prevent shearing of the rubber bushing, loosen the bolts on the engine strut before swinging the struts.
6. Remove the air intake resonator mounting nut, upper radiator mounting panel bolts and clamps. Tighten to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
7. Detach the cooling fan electrical connectors.
8. Remove the upper radiator mounting panel with the fans attached or the fan assembly, as applicable.
9. Disconnect the upper and lower radiator hoses.
10. Detach the low coolant sensor electrical connector, then remove the sensor, if used.
11. If equipped, remove the automatic transaxle cooler lines from the radiator.
12. Unfasten any necessary retainers, then remove the radiator.
