The radiator on a 1997 Mercury Mountaineer is removed by draining the coolant, disconnecting the radiator hoses, and unbolting the shroud. The retaining bolts are then removed and the radiator is lifted from the vehicle.
Look for plug at bottom or rear of radiator or remove lower radiator hose
If it is not on the bottom of the radiator, then just remove the lower radiator hose to drain the system.
remove electric fan drain coolant remove upper and lower hose remove what ever else may be blocking the radiator from being removed remove radiator reverse
On top of the reservoir on the passenger side of the motor. It will say Caution do not remove when hot!. There is not one located on top of the radiator itself.
Remove fan shroud Drain radiator Disconnect upper and lower hoses Disconnect transmission lines if Auto Remove securing bolt at top and side Radiator should lift from lower supports
To bleed the cooling system on a 96 Acura 3.5 L, cool the radiator and remove the radiator cap. Loosen the drain plug and drain.
I looked and looked for one on my '96. I swear it doesn't have one. I believe that all fluid adding must be done via the reservoir.
remove the black plastic radiator cover (push-pins) then remove the two bolts holding the headlamp in unplugh the bulb harness and remove mess around with the screws and clips on the headlight assembly, but i dont know if you can take the front clear plastic piece off. (and be able to put it right back on..)
